As Christian writers, we can expect the world, the flesh, and the devil to be against us. We need to arm ourselves with the Word of God and consistently turn to the Lord in prayer for His grace and help. 31 Prayers for Writers will refocus your mind and heart on the Lord as you seek to use the gifts He has given you to write for His glory. Each entry opens with a passage of Scripture, using God's Word as the basis of the prayer. Praying the Bible is one method that can help individuals focus on truth and shape prayers according to God's will. Following the Bible verse at the top of every page, each prayer follows the ACTS method, which is based on the following acronym: Adoration

Thanksgiving
Supplication This method allows readers and writers to praise and worship the Lord in adoration, to confess any sins and shortcomings to Him, and to thank Him for His many blessings before asking Him for anything. For each entry, you'll find a passage of Scripture followed by a prayer of adoration, a prayer of confession, a prayer of thanksgiving, and a prayer of supplication based on the passage of the day. Many of the supplications mention the work we do as writers, as we seek His guidance and help in our writing lives. You'll also find some space at the end of each entry for you to write your own prayers if you'd like to do so.
