The Three Wishes by M.E.B. (Mary E. Gellie) is a charming fairy tale exploring the consequences of impulsive desires. This classic short story follows a woodman and his wife who are granted three wishes. Their initial excitement soon turns to dismay as they squander their wishes on trivial and foolish things, highlighting the importance of careful consideration and contentment. Originally published in the late 19th century, this enduring tale continues to captivate young readers with its simple yet profound moral lesson. This edition preserves the original text, offering a delightful reading experience for children and adults alike. A timeless addition to any collection of children's literature, The Three Wishes reminds us to appreciate what we have and to think before we wish.
