First Lessons In Geometry: Upon The Model Of Colburns First Lessons In Arithmetic (1859) is a book written by Alpheus Crosby. The book is designed to teach the principles of geometry to beginners in a way that is similar to how Colburn's First Lessons in Arithmetic teaches basic arithmetic. The book is divided into several sections, each of which covers a different aspect of geometry. The first section covers the basic principles of geometry, including points, lines, angles, and planes. The second section covers the properties of triangles, including congruence and similarity. The third section covers the properties of quadrilaterals, including parallelograms, rectangles, and squares. The fourth section covers the properties of circles, including chords, tangents, and arcs. The book also includes exercises and problems to help students practice what they have learned. Overall, First Lessons In Geometry is a comprehensive guide to the principles of geometry, designed to help beginners understand the subject in a clear and concise manner. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
