First Home Forever Home is a book that will teach you the fundamentals on how to start and run a shelter intervention program. Keeping pets in their homes helps everyone - the pets, their people, their community and those that work in animal welfare. Pet surrenders are often a symptom of a complex problem. This book will help you devise a plan to solve problems, train volunteers to be effective counselors and even set up a budget with realistic goals for keeping pets at home.
