Or, they can find spelling errors in sentences about insects and spiders and snails. Or, they can locate frequently misspelled words in a word searches. Or, they can find and fix spelling errors in paragraphs about the peregrine falcon, brown bear, alligator lizard, parrot, green tree frog, seahorse, great white shark, porcupine and owl. Or, you can administer one of three different beginning of year spelling assessments 25 errors in three leveled spelling tests for beginning of year and end of year assessment. Or, they can connect syllables and answer questions about prefixes, suffixes, compound words, adjectives, proper nouns, synonyms, antonyms, and action verbs. Or, they can insert the missing letters for words with long vowel sounds (very challenging). Or, they can make as many words as they can using letters (like the game Boggle).
