The Fifteenth Century Morality Play: Every-Man (1902) is a play that was written anonymously in the 15th century. The play is a morality play that tells the story of Everyman, who represents all of humanity. The play begins with God sending Death to Everyman to remind him of his mortality and to prepare him for judgment. Everyman is then forced to go on a journey to find someone to accompany him to the judgment seat. Along the way, he meets various characters who represent different aspects of human life, such as Fellowship, Kindred, Goods, and Knowledge. Everyman eventually realizes that he must face judgment alone and that nothing he has done in his life will save him from the consequences of his actions. The play ends with Everyman asking for forgiveness and being saved by Good Deeds.
