These poems are followed by a selection of other religious and moral poems, exploring themes such as redemption, faith, and the afterlife. The language is poetic and lyrical, with a strong emphasis on religious imagery and symbolism. The book is a reflection of the religious and moral values of the Victorian era, and offers insight into the beliefs and attitudes of the time. Overall, The Twelve Foundations: And Other Poems is a thought-provoking and inspiring collection of poetry that continues to resonate with readers today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
