This book reflects the life of a young innocent princess whose destiny crosses the devilish path of her stepmothers. ...Pithecoid shares its own story, not one belonging to another. Its narrativity flows from the inside but is felt on the outside. Ese is a destined child saddled with a destiny whose royal origin was to be replaced by a bestial one. By a narrow escape, she averts what could have been a fateful, incestuous marriage. By providence, the main character is withheld from crossing the Rubicon where humane reasoning crumbles in contact with the fixedness of traditional animism, in the same way that the longstanding bestiality supposedly attributed to Africans gives way to the quality of a new Africanised culture.
