From Minnesota's Iron Range to Hollywood's Golden Age, Ike Savich discovers America—one Packard at a time. A 1932 car-jacking by Baby Face Nelson thwarts Ike's plans for a job carving Mount Rushmore. Various stories printed about the Nelson encounter, including one penned by Ike himself, result in an invitation from RKO Studios to come to Hollywood—where all the trouble starts.

THE PACKARD SALESMAN is the eleventh novel in Will Tinkham's Americana series. He lives and writes in Minneapolis. His short fiction has been published on three continents and he long ago attended Bread Loaf Writers' Workshop on a scholarship.

An actor of little renown, his credits do include the Guthrie Theater and Theatre in the Round.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but seating decisions are made based on registered attendance and seating priority is given to registered attendees first.

Q: Are in store events free?

A: Yes, Magers & Quinn events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Q: Are masks required?

A: Masks are not required to browse in the store or at most events. Some events may come with a request for masking for the health and safety of the author. If so it will be noted here whenever possible.
