8vo, 210pgs. Full bound in green cloth w/ black titling on front cover and spine. Book is solid and the interior is remarkably clean. Book is beautifully illustrated by William Siegel. There is a library stamp on title page and 2 other pages. No other marks. Text block is faintly toned w/ a green colored top edge. This copy has a cream dustjacket w/ 2 bright illustrations by Siegel and black and green titling. DJ spine is tanned and the black titling is bright though the green is faded. Spine ends/joints show mild chipping and are slightly worn. DJ has general rubbing and scuff marks in few spots. Excellent copy w/ DJ.
1897, 4to. White paper-covered boards with blue cloth spine. Boards show all-over dust soiling. Extremities rubbed, particularly at tips where board can be seen. Hinges weak and cracked at endpapers, though holding. Text is clean throughout, with the occasional finger smudge. Endpapers do show more soiling than interior. Numerous and beautiful full color plates are unaffected.
"Small 4to. Three classics in one. Large taped tear, large chips and several smaller closed tears to well worn dust jacket. Spine is cracked at both ends with some loss of paper covering boards and a large closed tear half way down the edge. Corners exposed and bumped. Owner's name inside along with a child's pencil drawing.
Cover for letter has small fold in corner. Slipcase has torn corner. Limited, numbered edition with signed letter.
Later printing post-1935, c. 1939. sm4to, 265 pgs. Full bound in dark blue cloth with pictorial paper label in color on front board. Book is replete with black and white illustrations, pictorial endpapers, and plates by John R. Neill. Book is solid and clean with only light sun fading to head of spine edge and minimal dust soiling to top edge of text block. All corners are sharp. DJ has clean and bright covers. DJ spine ends and corner tips have very minimal wear, chipping and a few tiny closed tears to edges. Head of spine on DJ has a 1/2'' closed tear and several water droplet marks on the spine. Following front free endpaper box stating "this book belongs to" contains previous owner's name in pen.

Color illustrations throughout. Damp stain on outer edge of book causing front board to bow slightly, stain visible on outer margin of text on most of the pgs and on back side of DJ. Paper lightly chipped along top and bottom edge of boards. DJ shows shelfwear with some minor dust soil and tears/creasing along edges. Gift inscription from previous owner on front free end paper, in pencil.
