Sm8vo, 209pgs + advertisements. Full bound in flexible pale red cloth covers with gilt titling on spine. Frontispiece is a hand colored fold-out map, clean with a couple of closed tears at margins near hinge. All 29 maps are present and in excellent condition. Spine and front cover is sun faded with light soiling, spine ends are worn with some chips and gilt is dulled. Front hinge is worn but not cracked. There is a very small pen point puncture starting at frontispiece and running through p.43. Rear endpapers have pencil written notes on them. Overall the book is in fantastic condition considering the age. Photos on request.

Boards are lightly soiled with two small bubbles to cloth due to water drops and mild wear with fraying to head/tail of spine and corners, corners lightly bumped as well. Only a third of the front free endpaper remains. Interior pages are toned and there is a damp stain on the edge of the C.H. Northham steamer foldout.
1881, Small 8vo, 220 pgs. First edition. Full bound tan cloth with gilt decoration and red title on front board, and faded gilt title on spine. Endpapers a decorative victorian style floral pattern. This is an American's story of his expieriences while living in Cuba during the late 19th century. Text is clean with the exception of the occasional finger smudge. Boards and block edges are dust soiled, esp on spine. Front board has spots of soil along edge. Otherwise a very good solid book.
16mo, 326pgs. Full bound in white paper, with intricate gilt tooling on front and rear covers; some blue accents. Spine has the same intricate tooling pattern, with gilt titling. This book contains eight original photographs including the frontispiece, all scenic views of Florence. The stunning sepia toned photographs are pasted down, with one detached but laid in. There is some foxing to the spine and boards near the joints. The red-coated edge of the text block, near tail of spine, has bled a small bit of color onto the rear board around the joint. Truly a unique pictorial exploration of Florence.

Vol one has fold-out map of temperature, winds and ocean currents across the globe, black and white demonstrative illustrations throughout both vols. Both vols show some wear with significant fraying at head and tail of spines and cornertips, cloth rubbed and dust soiled, some ink marks to block edge of vol one. Both bindings solid, interiors clean.
Small 8vo, 605pgs, Missing original fold out map, paper covered boards are in good minus to fair condition with wear to edges, corners. Text is complete with evidence of water damping and some foxing. A very interesting German language guide for emigrants to North and South America, including historical information, charts calculating distances between major destinations, lists of lodgings and comparative travel costs. Spine tab is faded but binding is otherwise solid.
12mo, 226pgs. Yellow paper wraps with illustration of a wagon train on front cover and black titles on cover and spine. Interior text and black/white photographic plates are remarkably clean. Binding is fragile but NO pages are detached, first couple of signatures are loose. Covers have mild rubbing and a light damp stain at tail edge of front cover, plus a couple of light scuff marks. Tail portion of spine is taped and there is creasing to spine. Covers have a couple of very small chips and creases at extremities.
