First Edition. Signed. ED: ELLIOTT ROOSEVELT. 1948, 8vo. 1st edition. Four volumes, including Early Years, 1905-1928, and two volumes of 1928-1945 in a slipcase. 'Early Years' volume inscribed on half-title-page by Eleanor Roosevelt, "To Henry Osthagen, With Love and Best Wishes"; also signed by Elliott Roosevelt on same page. Volume 1 of '1928-1945' also inscribed 'To Henry' by Eleanor Roosevelt. (The Henry in question is Henry Osthagen, cousin to Eleanor Roosevelt, officer in the Marine Corps promoted from Colonel to General during WW II) . All volumes are in near fine, unread condition, with minimal shelfwear to boards. Slipcase shows some wear, scuffing to bottom, sunning to outer edges: slipcase is VG-.
