Sm 4to. Full bound in green cloth with gilt titling. Bindings are solid and interiors are clean though mildly rippled and toned with age. Front hinge on Volume One has been repaired. Cloth is slightly worn and discolored at ends. Some dust soiling to text blocks. Volume One includes a frontispiece, a magnificent copper engraving portrait of the General by the celebrated artist Charles B. Hall. Beautiful, collectible set.
