Pirsig has signed his name to previous owner on front free endpaper. Copyright page indicates fourth printing, sequence as follows "4 5 78 77 76 75 74". Head/tail extremities of spine and board edges have slight sun fading. Boards at fore-edge have a slight bowing, else in excellent condition with text block edges slightly toned. Dustjacket is clean except for a pen mark on rear cover,toning there as well. Spine extremities and corner tips on DJ have a couple of light chips,tail edges have two tiny closed tears,barely noticeable
